... people. I realized something that needed to be refreshed in my mind. It's those days where you're exhausted and still need to run a practice, the days where you'd rather be somewhere else that really matter. When it comes time to compete that's what makes it worth while. To see the smiling faces of the athletes, to taste victory and cope with defeat and most of all the gratitude of the children you train, that's why I coach. The game was a tie.

... our online gaming. I had him in check five times with constant pressure. I finally won. In the second game he made some mistakes and was upset. I told him to focus and remain calm. Like my wrestling coaches used to tell me. Like I used to tell the kids I coached. Two moves later he took my queen. Then it was I who panicked. He picked me apart and won the second game.
