    ... on South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. - not the most original trip but perfect for what we want. Cheap bit of fun to help stick to a tight budget. Lots of culture, followed by good sun and easy living. On the 30th August the count down stops. We head out to Bangkok with a stop over in Dubai. I'll be using this blog to keep in touch, put up pictures and keep track of all the experiences...... Well that's the plan anyway. Wish us luck. I'll be in touch ...

    ... that's how the result would pan out. It was a glorious day weather wise so Jenna and I went for our walk and picked up my coffee and a couple of powerades before heading back to the house to get ready. Jenna is coming to the cricket today as after cricket we are spending the night with Bit and Browny and going to have a meal and a few drinks around Sheffield. Nikki dropped us off at the club so we could jump in the car with Bash to make the trip ...

    ... and the Lion of St Mark on the handle so best guess would be a Venetian connection. As the leather case is gilded and laquered this may also point to Venice and its rich tradition of fine leather working for book binding. However without provenance this is only speculation, but it is very very pretty and has some age.
