... many complications with money, I was carrying as much as I could legally withdraw with me across the border. I was below the legal amount but I was still nervous about being stopped and having to bribe my way across, just because I was carrying money. Much to my relief there were no problems and I was on the other side in Sunny Hong Kong only to discover that the city was expecting a typhoon to hit that evening, great.

The power was off yesterday as the power company replace end the power poles in the street, so,we couldn't do any vacuuming which after all these weeks needed doing. So the morning was spent doing that while T cleaned the shower. After lunch we drove to Burcough to get food for tea and also for the family lunch tomorrow. ... plan to stay at the Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel, but didn't really know if we could. Found it with no problem and in the car park there were a couple of other vans with screens up - so definitely being slept in. ... few days I was booked onto a similar bus pass as in New Zealand...the Feejee Experience, which involved touring the mainland.
