... CHP, and Vietnam Veteran's motorcycle escorts took great care of us today. We rolled through virtually every red light under escort and were frequently cheered by car drivers who were temporarily stuck due to our presence.

Lunch each day is provided by the USO...they have a full service lunch truck and serve hot and cold food...its pretty awesome!

... trunks. There was one to the side of the hotel. I asked the park ranger if she knew the name of the tree outside the building. The trees are South American Pepper trees brought here by the Spaniards. The picture on her desk was of a eucalyptus tree on that spot taken 100 years ago, so the pepper tree is less than 100 years ago, which is amazing because it’s so enormous. You’ll see a picture of ...
