... to the Danube River for a little bit. This was a little bit of a disappointment. They have a kind of Coney Island deal going on, with restaurants, boat rentals, loud music and such. We took a walk down by the river for a bit, but didn't find it very appealing. Off to dinner at the same place as yesterday and then back to the hotel for nap time.

Back outside in the cold, we did a loop to check out the exterior. There happened to be a little market on the outside so we stopped in for some famed Vienna chocolate (amazing) and a stroll past the dozens of horse-drawn carriages before getting back on our walking tour track. ... away with a man, because the girls said there is a rather precarious song about someone called Joanna in Germany. We also joked that the might of met the Emperor of the palace, which would be a cooler option.

... returned to the ship for a rest before an early dinner which was Vienna schnitzel (not as good as mine) and potato salad.

After the early dinner we were all taken by bus to the Albertina which used to be a large residential Palace during the Hapsburg monarchy but now is an art centre.

There was a wonderful concert just for the APT group from our ship, so around 148 of us attended.

The concert was presented by the Vienna Palace Orchestra ...

... the Hunderwasserhaus to see the famous building and art designed by Hunderwasser. We then went to the Secession building where we saw the Beethoven Frieze. We ate lunch at the Naschmarkt just down the street. Next stop was the Vienna Opera House where we had a guided tour. Later that night we were lucky enough to return to the Opera to see their showing of Othello ...
