... and scree came tumbling down the moutainside at some point, and it looks like more could come at any time. So I cross the river once again, and pose for my videoclip with the village and the cliff in the background, then go for a closer look. Well... it's not as bad as it seems. The cliff is a little ways back, so it's doubful that, even if another landslide came it would do direct damage to the village. Still looks pretty weird ...

... it was only about 50 miles.

After leaving the services I just wanted to get to Italy and find a hotel for the night. Then I was hammering along the fast road until it split in two!! I stayed on the fast road until I saw it leading into a tunnel and that was when I realized I was on the wrong road as the road that just forked off this one about 1 mile before was way up in the hills above the tunnel and so that's where I was going.
