I was glad that many of the teachers and parents knew that Reese was a Mountie as well.     ... for a walking tour of a very pretty Innsbruck (our hotel is in the center of town). While we obviously enjoyed the sights of Italy, it was great to be in the mountains again and see Bavarian (in this case Tyrolean) architecture.

    This entry is going to be devoted to a picture of day to day in Innsbruck. We've been here for just over 6 weeks and we are starting to sort things out. For the most part, it is the regular routine - girls go to school, Michael and I go to work, we have activities in the evening, etc. But there are some differences

    We were supposed to take the cable cars and cog wheel train to Alpspix and Zugspitz for Adrian's birthday but it snowed overnight and both mountains were covered in cloud. We had to come up with a plan B and found the very pretty town of Mittenwald was close by. The buildings in this part of Bavaria are painted with murals which is quite different to other areas. We spent time wandering the streets and spending some tourist euros. We also found a good bakery/cafe and indulged ...
