Finally Mexico

A travel blog entry by anna-mike on Jan 08, 2015

... having been wide awake since 3am, we set off to explore Cancun and attempt to wear ourselves out. We headed to the hotel zone, where all the package holidayers spend their time, it was like a carbon copy of Aruba - huge hotel chains lining the seafront, killing all character of the area and making beach access for non guests as awkward as possible. We didn't let this stop us and went marching a good few kilometres up the White ...

... see tall buildings from outside.

When getting off the bus I spotted a few souvenirs shops, restaurants and a few clubs. ... was when Ronaldo scored the penalty and ripped his shirt off ha ha ha.

We finally get out of the house and get the bus down to spend some time on the beach. The waters are beautiful here. Same look as Playa Santa Fe - turquoise green and clear. The sands are a little dirtier cause some people can't throw their cigarette butts in the bin but its still a beautiful beach. We both get in again and I stop at knee deep cause the waves are a little too much for me. But Hinesh ...

... seats available. I ask a couple if I can sit there across from them, and they, of course, allow me. It felt a little weird sitting across from this gentleman, and no doubt I looked like ****. I was concerned that traveling backwards in my seat might bring on some motion sickness. Not that it ever has in the past, I've just heard from others it can make you sick. But once we get rolling I relax. I even slept a little. It took almost 3 hours to get ...
