... of our reunion, Nancy and John Atkinson, treated us to appetizers. Pete and I are not beer connoisseurs but I have to say, some of them were pretty good. Very few people liked the sour varieties, and the appetizers were good, but different.

The rest of our time was spent gathered together either poolside at the lodge or at the park in the middle of Sonoma. They had a wonderful farmer's market, complete with food booths and live ...

... away. What a discovery! Most of Big Sur is viewed from above there are not a lot of beaches easily accessible. But this one after a brief wait was ideal. The water was ice cold but the beach was not. I could have stayed forever! San Francisco was calling and after a 4 hour beachfront view we needed to be moving along. The drive up was pretty, but not as scenic and south Hwy 1. Still impressive. We found a food stand with incredibly cheap produce from the local farms that were all over ...

SF itself is a beautiful city. From when we arrived on the 15th, we've spent much of the time in relaxation mode (probably because it was raining). We started out on Sunday by going to Church in the morning and appreciated the opportunity to be able to give thanks for all the blessings we have. We also said a prayer for Fiji in the wake of Cyclone Evan's imminent ...

Soon it was my last day there, and I had to go into San Fran to run some errands. I decided as my last touristy thing there I would ride the cable car. I ...

Very nice Inn which gets away from that stereotyped American B&B with frills, patterned carpets and floral wallpaper. Gaige house is beautifully decorated in an Asian, minimalistic style. Beds super comfortable. Staff very helpful. And great breakfasts.
