... Greg provided us with information on the four islands that are served by the ferry. He assured us that each island had it's own unique culture. We have his word "as a politician, fisherman and realtor." I neglected to write down what exactly he said that about, but I don't doubt that each island has it’s own feel.

After two nights in Friday Harbour we boarded our ferry for Sidney BC. A pleasant 90 minute crossing and we arrived at the Sidney Ferry terminal. Another beautiful day. A nice ride along the Lochside trail through Sidney, quickly turned in to a sprint to Swartz Bay as we calculated that we had time to make the noon ferry versus waiting for the 1 PM ferry. ... September 16th from Victoria to Reykjavik (Iceland) then on to Frankfurt, Germany on September 26th. And I haven't booked a return ticket as of yet since I don't know exactly which city I will be coming home from or even the exact date. I have plenty of time to worry about that.
I have yet to find a backpack which is my next mission along with grabbing a Eurail pass. Good thing I am going back to work at Butcharts part time to cover these costs.
