Orca Inn - cheapest option, clean wooden room!
Highlights: sunny ferry ride over, afternoon drinks in The Place by the harbour, driving around the island in our funny little Scoot moped from Suzies Mopeds, walking up Young Hill spotting birds of prey, lunch at Lime Kiln Point, totally scrumptious prosciutto, pear and goats cheese pizza from Van ...

... Greg provided us with information on the four islands that are served by the ferry. He assured us that each island had it's own unique culture. We have his word "as a politician, fisherman and realtor." I neglected to write down what exactly he said that about, but I don't doubt that each island has it’s own feel.

He asked: "Everything o.k?" and before the lady ...

After two nights in Friday Harbour we boarded our ferry for Sidney BC. A pleasant 90 minute crossing and we arrived at the Sidney Ferry terminal. Another beautiful day. A nice ride along the Lochside trail through Sidney, quickly turned in to a sprint to Swartz Bay as we calculated that we had time to make the noon ferry versus waiting for the 1 PM ferry. We went by the cycling entrance and then doubled back and thankfully were the ...

Chris and I caught the buss downtown where whilst waiting, 2 deer casually cross the road, uncaring of oncoming traffic. we spent the day wandering Victoria and the harbour. Booked the ferry to Seattle for Saturday which is a 3 hour trip so should get to see some stunning scenery as we cross the border. If lucky may even see orca. The evening was spent with vic and Dave at a great restaurant with a great urinal with a soccer ...
