... who was lovely, the food again was so cheap and really tasty.
Next day we got up early for a big day of sight seeing. We had breakfast on the rooftop restaurant in our hotel and attempted to get some transport to the Redd fort in Old Delhi which is about 5km away. We asked the hotel how much it should cost and they told us 50 rupees so we first got on cycle rickshaw who agreed 50 rupees so we thought that was nice and easier, 2 minutes later he ...
... to be brought on stage like that though.
After the big photoshoot ended, the bride and groom had their dinner and there were a few hours of downtime. Around 1am, the next part of the ceremony started. Most of the guests had left and there were only about 50 or so people remaining, most of them family members. The groom sat under a tent with two brahmins (Hindu priests) and there was a prayer. One of the guys explained to us that they would be doing a ...
... so. We crossed their terrace fields, flowing streams and wooden bridges. It was open and we were afraid that we would walk in Sun through out. But soon it became cloudy and cool. We had a break at a tea stall and had magie and tea. It was magnificent view. We were just at the narrow strip of the mountain and down it were all slopes covered with grass leaves with flowers. Deep down the thin line of river was making its noise. The air ...
Faridabad, Haryana, India meenuchadha... decided that the Delhi National Zoological Gardens might be a cool place to hang out for a bit, and we ended up being very mistaken. It was cheap and nice, but pretty much just a normal zoo. I'm not sure what were expecting. What we didn't expect was that we'd be followed by three creepy Indians that seemed to find Sarah very intruiging. This kind of put a damper on the animal-viewing, and we ended up rushing out after seeing the white tigers ...
Delhi, India mattarah... rock pile which consisted of 2 arches and a spire, all one on top of the other, in that order. It must have been good luck, because we didn't die on the hair-raising journey back to Leh. :) Back in the Noble House Guest House: Janpal: A three hour ride to the pass gives you enough time to visit a Gurudwara (Sikh Temple). Apparently not with our luck. First, the one-way traffic was blocked by a truck that had broken down and had to be towed. Bapuji started getting sick which ...
Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India stuckinindia... from 7.30am, then at 7.30am they said the ticket man is not here yet, Rampal threatened to bring us to tourism office to file a complaint - well Indian way of working. Anyway the ticket man appeared and we got our "foreigner" tickets which is priced very highly different from Indian tickets. We spent about 2.5hours and went to saubhag bed&breakfast. Meera Dass - the owner was very nice ...
Delhi, India cresc... Players such as BL Kashyap, Sobha Developers and IVR Prime had entered into JDAs when the real estate market was at its peak in 2007 and early 2008. At the peak of the real estate market, many medium-sized developers found it too expensive to acquire land at exorbitant rates in cities such as Gurgaon, Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Then, JDAs emerged as the best option. The ...
Delhi, India zameensandeep... was a functioning palace. The marble designs and intricate layout are amazing. We got some great shots of the archways and the royal rooms. We finish up our evening with a nightcap at one of rooftop bars in area. Walking back to our hotel and buy Chicken Tikka, Indian hot sauce, roti (round bread like a pita) and a couple of Kingfisher beers for a late dinner back at the room. As we turn towards our hotel, a Bull stops front of me. Does he want my ...
Delhi, India eddieandlynn... miss the prized shot , one of my biggest regrets on this trip. I trekked a little bit further but not up to Kuari pass as the clouds was starting to gather; moreover I was chased by an angry cow as well, I came upon these herdsmen who told me that they had walked all the way from Joshimath to the Bugyal. They also told me that the "Periyaar" God was the protector of the cattle and I was gain intrigued by paganism. I got back to the cottage at around 04:30 in the afternoon ...
