      ... stress. Who needs it! The more you can prevent the better. It also helps to have a strong, ex-Navy brother in the neighborhood to enjoy the home while we are gone. I always recommend announcing to the local authorities when you are off on an adventure. In our small town atmosphere they feel as though they are simply checking in on they neighbor's house.       ... hike in the woods with one of the staff of the park cleaning up a trail. It was a nice way to spend a Saturday and they even feed us hotdogs. We have found the Georgia State Parks to be the best. They are really nice, well kept and the staff is always friendly. Thank you Georgia!!

      We haven't done much the last 5 days, a trip to Walmart and an Italian dinner out and some walking around ...

      ... amp; simplicity.

      Ocala, St. Augustine, Savannah, GA & for the past 2 weeks, we have been reluctant to leave our spot in Appling, GA. Our first Corp. of Engineers site that exceeds all expectations!

      Leaving Friday for Columbia, SC then Charlotte, NC for a week, then several stops in & around Virginia, WV.

      Athens, OH, we will see you on the 25th of May! Nothing like celebrating a good 40th Birthday!!

      As we didn't want to stay too long in Florence we take the I-20 to Columbus and then the US-378 to McCormick. We find a good spot to stay: the Savanna Lakes Resort and Marina. It's newly (re-)opened and it seems we're the only guests. We got a room close to the lake and enjoy a very quiet night. ...
