Travelling along the mountainous coastline on the Captain Cook Highway from Port Douglas to Cairns must be one of Australia's best coastal drives. So much fantastic scenery, so we had quite a few stops along the way.

So Cairn's is a little bohemian....
... Falls we reached our final stop which was the little village of Kuranda. This is basically a small town that is run on tourism and opens with the first cable car at 10am and closes with the last one at 4pm. It is relatively new as the cable car was built only 17 years ago and as it was all flown in to protect the trees there is no easy access route. Experiencing one of the wonders of the world -wow
Only having one hours sleep I didn't feel too great when I woke up, but it's all part of the fun! I skipped breakfast and took advantage of the computers for a short while before leaving to go to the Great Barrier Reef. Everyone was so shocked at how I managed to pull myself together, I even surprised myself, but it's mind over matter! We hopped onto a cruise boat taking us out to the reef. Cairns

Rusty's Market is a popular eclectic Cairns icon that is frequented every Friday, Saturday and Sunday by locals and tourists in search of the freshest locally grown and harvested seasonal produce. The fresh fruit and vegetables are grown regionally and sold by the farmers themselves. We loved it. Now I want to move to Cairns. The fresh produce was amazing!
