... we could do with you here Gareth! We went to the gym early this morning but half the ship seemed to have the same idea - it was crowded to say the least - maybe we need to choose a different time. This afternoon we were surrounded by a huge pod of dolphins- but needless to say as soon as Brian got his camera set up they disappeared! I did manage one shot ...

First formal 'doo' last night, it was an excellent night, we have Bob Champion on-board at the moment and had drinks with him in the Crows nest late last night and we are having dinner with him tonight, a really nice guy and full of great stories. Docked in Vigo first thing this morning, it's a pleasant enough fishing town but nothing special. A day at sea tomorrow, then the Azores on Sunday......should start seeing warmer climates after that. Having a wonderful time ...

The ship is basically one big all you can eat, but ...

After a fairly bumpy crossing through the Bay of Biscay we arrived at Vigo this morning. Hopefully, I will be able to post this when we go ashore after breakfast. The weather is sunny and the temperature is about 15 degrees. We are not going on an official trip today, just exploring the town ourselves - I believe that there is a very good fish market here. We have been attempting to learn a little Spanish- our instructor has taught us how to order oysters and champagne -should the need ...

... it!! We were told that the difference would be deducted from his wages. Stephen was outraged. We decided to leave rather than support this. Welcome back to Spain!!

We have also noted that when driving often whole valleys are just a haze from rural and domestic fires. This is something you don't see in NZ anymore even thought it was quite common when we were children. Much to Stephen's he has nor seen a Toyota for some Europe seems very supportive of home brands.
