Early start in Espinho and a brisk walk to train station. I had paid site and checked out but they said I could leave motorhome safely on site until we got back from Porto.
The train into Porto takes about 30 minutes and for €3.25 return it is good value. The day in Porto was absolutely stunning. Perhaps it did not have the grace of Lisbon but it's mix of grand streets and squares, tumbled down abandoned buildings and of course the ...

... The Camino Portuguese is more intimate and there aren't as many pilgrims walking this route. However, we have been extremely fortunate to become friends with Sue and Tony from Australia. We met them early in the second week and have had many meals together along the way. We began the walk out ...

... we have the luxury of time, we should at least consider the "river path." It may take a little longer than the soulless, industrial direct route, but the reward is so much greater. We discussed a quote today by Gwyn Thomas, "The beauty is in the walking- we are betrayed by destinations." As we approach Santiago de Compostela, we are reminded the purpose of this Camino is the path itself, ...

We left Cesantes by 9am in the cool. Walked up a hill & onto Arcade. The first part of our walk was cool & mostly through rural woodlands. We had another hill to climb once we crossed the roman bridge over the Rio de Vigo out of Arcade. The roman bridges are amazing & the roman paths we are following. Today our path took ...
