On our way back to the boat we ran into a local fisherman on the dock. He used to live in Connecticut but has since lived in Puerto Rico. Tyler and Maya was invited to play with his kids and their friends. A treat for our kids since they are always on the search for friends to play with.

Two days in San Juan was just not enough time. On Saturday we left the historic city. We will be back another time.

... lunch of fried pork mofongo with broth and arroz mamposteao, washed down with really cold Medallas. Off to Corcega Beach for last jaunt in the water. Finally Les is starting to feel ...

Tootled around the area to Punta Beach on the Atlantic side. Had the best banana mocha drink and latte from Banana Dangs. Amazing!! Drank them as we walked around the lighthouse again. Lunch of asopao (stew) with fish, arroz mamposteao, cold Medallas and shrimp empanadilla at ...

... then go out and get drunk at night, although the nightlife is nothing special here. San German was definitely a place I would recommend here in Puerto Rico and probably the second coolest town next to Old San Juan. Your stay in Rincon should all depend on how much you like surfing. If you are here simply for a beach, then you should probably go elsewhere because there are nicer beaches and nicer cities. This place is simply a surfing town.

      SOMEONE IS ON OUR BEACH!

... up with him at the palm tree he shows me TWO pieces of red glass that he has found. This is terrific.

Len takes the board and heads out to the waves. He tries, rides and playes for quite awhile. I take some pictures and then go for a walk down the beach. It is hot, very little wind, nice to walk in the water. There are quite a few pieces of glass, not smoothed by the waves and sand so I am careful where I walk. ...
