    ... than expected, but the park was beautiful and pretty huge. We sat by a little lake watching a strange bird walk around us and having a nice smoke. I also had to stop a drugged up man from stealing my bike, who then turned around and said he was taking the key out to give to us (he definitely wasn't) and continued to lecture us about bike safety. Afterwards he went and gave the finger to a group of strangers so I didn't find his precautions very ...

    ... usual we were early so left our luggage and went for a walk to familiarise ourselves with the area. Walked along the river down towards the reichstagg, Brandenburg gate, so many people alas we won't be doing the climb up to the reichstagg do as we should have booked it in advance and the sane with the telecommunication tower, just not to be for us never mind.     After a very early start we flew into Amsterdam to grey cool weather. The train runs from the airport to the city centre so we bought tickets, waited at the right platform and ended up getting on the wrong train! Surprise surprise!
