... is a beautiful city. Hopefully we'll have some time in the morning for an explore before we head off to Gouda of cheese fame. Tomorrow is a special day in Holland - Konigsdag or King's Day - the first one since King Willemstad-Alexander was inaugurated on Queen's Day on 30 April 2013. Can't wait to see a sea of orange. ... I even had to take some ice out to add some coke!!! First time ever! Was great ��. Home for a quite early night.....Helen getting a bit of a lugie �� cuppa and bed! Day 2 in Amsterdam .......went to the Anne Frank house this morning....quite an amazing experience.....makes you feel quite humble! ... all very quaint. Everything was off the village square including the library, the info centre, another 2 bakeries, a greengrocer,another butcher, several hairdressers,several banks and many charity shops. That may give you an idea. It was lovely. A day spent in York by train was just great, wonderful history, great old medieval buildings,lovely atmosphere. Another day spent going to the coast through to Scarborough and an enjoyable time at Whitby Abbey before coming ...

I am meeting Lotte and her partner Juliane to watch the Parade, in true Amsterdam fashion the parade goes by on boats in the canals. I've never been to a pride Parade so fitting my 1st is Amsterdam. Happy Pride!!!!! will share photos soon Dah
