... I wanted to text Amy a photo of her grandfather's work displayed in the museum.

But it was not to be. The previous day, the RCMP Heritage Centre suffered an electrical system failure, resulting in the need to replace huge parts of the wiring. They were closed. I frowned, pouted for 30 seconds, then moved on.

18 degrees and clear blue sky. Em had the day off so we headed out into the country to visit Pumpkin Hollow. The place was alive with kids and parents as it was a pupil free day in Regina. Ventures through the corn maze and solved cornundrums along the way. Em jumped on the jumping pillow and patted the horses and goats and we had a "family photo" taken in the train.

... and F16s visible on the tarmac. Finding the pawn shop proves to be quite straightforward, we park and after a very brief wait in line go in. The store itself seems quite different than on TV but as you become accustomed you begin to recognize the display cases and some of the items. This is a non-filming day so no Chumlee or other show cast. I try to find something to buy that I might collect or be interested in but find nothing. A couple of photos ...

... Lincoln, all former presidents of the United States. There faces are to remember them and for what they did for the country. There was a nice exhibition hall to check out underneath the viewing area which also had a small theatre that plays a short film every 15 minutes. We had a walk around and found out how they created the faces with what little technology they had. It was really interesting and the movie was informative as well. We spent an hour or ...
