This was a basic but very clean and quiet hotel in a lovely residential area in Kirribilli. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed. It was close to bars, restaurants and the Milsons Point train station. There was a lovely little courtyard with a view over Neutral Bay. The service was minimal, but friendly. Awesome walk over the Sydney Harbour bridge to the Rocks. Thanks for the suggestion, Gebby (hotel manager). I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone who wanted a reasonably priced room near the Sydney CBD.

We’ve had a great time in Sydney even with the variable weather and I’m looking forward to coming back for a 2nd visit. It’s time to pack for our next stop, in Melbourne.

It turns out that standing on top of the bridge was actually quite easy. The beams there are about 10 feet wide -- and with the structure of the railing, you really are not very close to the edge. The path to get there, on the other hand, had a few stomach churning turns.

When they built the bridge, in the 1920's, they did not, clearly, plan for a bridge climb -- ...

Apologies for the complete lack of photos by the way, however please have a look at my mum's blog, who as usual captured those fleeting moments to absolute perfection.
