      Old fashioned English style hotel

This was a basic but very clean and quiet hotel in a lovely residential area in Kirribilli. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed. It was close to bars, restaurants and the Milsons Point train station. There was a lovely little courtyard with a view over Neutral Bay. The service was minimal, but friendly. Awesome walk over the Sydney Harbour bridge to the Rocks. Thanks for the suggestion, Gebby (hotel manager). I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone who wanted a reasonably priced room near the Sydney CBD.

We lingered a bit too long, and so they locked the gates on us and we had to hop the fence to get out. We raced to catch our bus and barely caught it in time, and then went back to our apartment in Kings Cross.  From there,  our friends from Maui joined us and we ...

... Mexico and France. It was fun chatting to everyone over dinner and hearing about their home counties and what brings them to Australia. With keys in hand our first stop was the local supermarket to stock up on tinned goods which formed the basis of our diet over the two week trip. This was a bit of a shock to the system after all the delicious and cheap food we had eaten in Asia but we did also fit in a few Aussie style BBQ's including our first taste of kangaroo ...

Next week I am starting my first adventure vacation. I will be sailing off the coast of Greece with six other women and our Captain. We will meet for the first time in a marina near Athens. I can't wait to get underway.

But this journey started when I came to Australia in 2013 to take a new job and to create a new life ...
