This was a basic but very clean and quiet hotel in a lovely residential area in Kirribilli. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed. It was close to bars, restaurants and the Milsons Point train station. There was a lovely little courtyard with a view over Neutral Bay. The service was minimal, but friendly. Awesome walk over the Sydney Harbour bridge to the Rocks. Thanks for the suggestion, Gebby (hotel manager). I would definitely recommend this hotel to someone who wanted a reasonably priced room near the Sydney CBD.

Sydney is the unofficial capital of Australia and a place we've always wanted to see and the flight from Canberra was only 40 minutes long. The first thing we had to do was walk along the famous Sydney Harbour and see the opera house and harbour bridge. The views are impressive as it shows the mixture between the massive skyscrapers and neighbouring islands surrounded by white sand. The opera house is a work of art and apparently has the best acoustics of any building in the ...

... named outlet,, Chish and Fips (yeah.. it is peculiar)... they did quench my appetite with awesome Crumbed Calamari and Chips... combo'd with salad... a quick tasty bite after a 2 hour stroll...

With the walk coming to an end, after a delicious meal... i board the bus back to Bondi Junction and the train back to "the city"... a nice day spent in the suburbs, in the arms of the cliffs and the vast seas..

Hope you enjoyed the journey with me!!!

After a short rest to get over the breakfast, Adrian and I headed downtown to the assembly point for the Anzac Day March, joining the NSW RA Sigs Association. The March commenced at 9am but it was after 11 am before our group stepped off - a long wait for the little people at the other end.

There were huge crowds all along Pitt, George and Bathurst Streets before we dispersed at the Shrine. We ...

... got a little damp. We got off at another stop and watched a brass band play in the rain for a little bit. All in all it was a pretty good day. I'm glad we got to see it. We tried again to find somewhere to pull over near the city but to no avail. We ended up heading out of the Sydney city all together and towards Gosford our next destination. We drove for a while and then pulled over at a rest station which was really pretty right by a lake with fishermen doing a spot of night ...

We appreciate him making his home available to us and his friendship He told us that the temperature yesterday was over 100 degrees. It is markedly humid here in Sydney. Today, though, it's a bit cooler with the temp only reaching just above 80.

We went on a walk in his neighborhood. A very pleasant neighborhood through which there ware walking paths and views of parks, including ...
