... salady stuff, along with some kind of offal. Not knowing, I guess, how to get my attention when I'm writing; she sort of waves a fork near my face :o) then she offers to share her modest meal. I'd love to actually, it looks rather delicious and I am getting hungry, but she has so little that I politely refuse. She shrugs and tucks in herself, insisting that I continue to use the table rather than switching to write in my knees.

... mushy peas and a huge serving of butter fried potato wedges with hints of onion which i suspect were left over from a previous dish. All up, quite nice. Washed down with a large beer ... All for R640 or $21.

Anyway, the place is not really known by travellers for the city of Krasnoyarsk, but for the nearby Stolby national park, a UNESCO world heritage site, and very similar to the Elbsandsteingebirge in Germany. Unfortunately the weather on both days of our stays wasn't the most favorable, with frequent rain showers, so we didn't get to hike in the park. Oh well, better times will come up.
