Elghana Suits Kumasi

On Friday we went to this palace museum thing for the Ashanti King.
(Ghana has 10 different regions which are sort of like our states and Ashanti is one of the 10 where Kumasi is)
It was interesting.
The courtyard around the palace had about 10 or so peacocks roaming around.
There were signs everywhere saying that you couldn’t take pictures.
But, when the man gave us the tour of the palace, he would walk us into the room ...

... Kumasi had a lot to offer. We plan on going back. Plus, after getting home i found out that my roommate (Elizabeth)'s boyfriend is from Kumasi, so maybe next time we go, he will come and we could even have a home-cooked meal with his family or something. He offered to come with us at least...the meal thing was my idea :) I would love to have a family meal in Kumasi next time--that might be the only thing that could make it better.

Day 2, Sunday. I slept like a baby aft** I settled into my room, which has a show** with hot wat** and a flush toilet, which are absolute luxuries h**e. Hello from Accra-

I arrived back to the capitol Accra earlier this afternoon after spending our final days in the Kumasi area with Diana and her family. After having a fast pace our first week here it was nice to relax a bit and just enjoy being in her moms village the last few days. ... varmt vatten tror jag inte pa forran jag kanner varmvattnet men om det rinner vatten ner i mitt huvud utan att jag behover anstranga mig sa ar jag valdigt valdigt nojd. ... I Accra blir det ol varje kvall!!! Det finns 3 inhemska olsorter som jag vet om, Star, Gulder och den jag drack igar som jag inte mins namnet pa, alla ar goda. Jag har gatt ner i vikt vilket aldrig nagonsin har hant av sig sjalv tidigare, jag kan vara magsjuk utan att minska i vikt sa det kanns lite markligt. Jag ater och jag ater mycket och jag ar nastan alltid hungrig (som vanligt). Jag tror jag svettas bort lite overflod. Antligen har fotterna vant sig vid varmen och ser normalstora ut. : )
