    ... local rice (not de-husked as much as that we see in Australia) along with konkan water (made from a local fruit and mineral water, lime additions.......... beautiful). This becomes a drink we seek from here on. Konkan water is somewhat a staple in Goa.

    ... areas full of red and white lotus flowers, rather like water lilies but smaller. We had intended to take photos on the way back but we went home a different way and missed them, but we did see lots of cows, both tethered and roaming wild, as well as pigs rummaging around and workers laboriously preparing the rice fields.     ... town of Madgaon looks OK. I am feeling distinctly unwell again today (how many days is it till we fly home?) :-( I stay in the hotel room not daring to stray too far from the amenities whilst Ian goes out to explore the town. There is now a terrible problem with the air con in that it is pumping in strong aromas of curry...really not great when feeling nauseous. I have to switch it off and suffer the heat. Thank God we are only here for one night...did I already say that? ...

    ... we off to a Full moon party which will then be followed by Julian Marley who is supposedly related to the late Bob and then off to another disco/karaoke/ club called Fiplees. No doubt the next day will be at the beach recovering.

    So all in all I am having an awesome time in Goa. As they say Sossegado - chilled - relaxed - calm.
