With the wonders of modern travel, Virgin Airlines get us to Gatwick half an hour early at 5.20 am on 30th December, after the usual arrival formalities I manage to load all our suitcases and rucksacks onto a trolley and head through the arrivals scrummage and into the increasing cold in Gatwick Railway station to try and sort a change of ticket from our original February return to immediate ones. After Swannage I drove down to Devon stopping at my favourite farm Shop (Felicities Farm Shop near Charmouth) to stock up on Christmas goodies. So it begins. The bags are packed we're ready to go, as the song says. Goodbye Wilbraham Court and our lovely neighbours for 9 weeks of exotic travels. Beryl our wonderful friend drives us to the station as by the wonders of Brunels famous railway we are on our way from Newton Abbot, Devon to pastures new. Gosh we're excited. Then drove on across Dartmoor again. Stopped to climb to a Tor on Burrator Moor before driving to Lee Moor and on to Ivybridge.
