    Moose Hunting and Mexican Food

A travel blog entry by kschu140 on Dec 20, 2014

Well we started another Saturday with Pancakes, that's becoming our routine. We organised ourselves for another day of adventure. We were heading towards Sandpoint to have some Mexican and to try and see a moose. We packed up some necessities, some keystone light beer and some lime-a-Rita's and hit the road. The spot we were going was about half way between Sandpoint and Bonners right at the base of the mountains that make up Schweitzer. When we got there the ground ...

I had to U strap to even be able to move. The only help I did get was him yelling out things to do without actually teaching me how to do them. At one point he was yelling at me to slow down, that I was going too fast. It's not like I wanted to go that fast I just couldn't slow down. It wasn't a positive experience ...

We headed home and Will stopped at the start of the road and made me drive up and down the street for practice. It was my first time driving over here. It was weird but I safely navigated the journey up and down the road. When we got home Will and I watched the season finale of Sons of Anarchy. As that was finishing Len was arriving home for lunch so we had lunch with him ...

Today we headed up to check out Schweitzer. We stopped on the way at Big R to buy me some boots. As my feet are so small, it made it difficult to walk in Leatha's size 9 boots. We then went over to Wallmart to have a look at their boot options and snow pants but decided to come back to Big R and buy their boots and snow pants. We ...

... to have the kids along. They make the search much more interesting. Again, “Eagle Eye” TJ found the cache. Viv signed her name on the log and I filled in the date. Great fun!

We then walked down to the main area of town and tried to find a cache on the bridge, but to no avail. Lots of false readings on the phone and all didn’t help. We finally gave up and walked back to the car.

    We got back ...
