Balneario Cocalitos, Quintana Roo, Mexico, Yukon, Mexico jean-guy... during the Christmas holiday season and Holy Week - you like to relax and walk a fabulous beach like perhaps no other in Mexico (black sand) for miles and miles - you are looking for affordable prices in housing - you are comfortable with a very small expat community of about 30 (source: Roger) - you don't mind driving or taking a bus (there is a bus other than the chicken bus we took) for 45 minutes ...
Cuyutlán, Pacific Coast, Mexico lobo... it is really hard to see the topes. { topes are speed bumps} There are no stop lights so they use topes to control the speed of vehicles. Was all set to use the new pool that we had seen them putting in last year. Well that didn't happen, it was so dirty that it had tadpoles swimming around in it and was very pretty green. Bonnie was bummed as she had been waiting all day to go ...
Monte Gorde, Northern Mexico, Mexico ironworker025November 20, 2008 REVOLUTION DAY It was different this morning walking down the streets of Lo de Marcos. The doors of the tiendas were closed, no preparations for the normal daytime activities. We missed it a bit but also had a sense of anticipation for a special day. We missed the sweeping of the streets and watering down of the cobblestones......That had been done the night before. There was activity but ...
Lo de Marcos, Nayarit, Mexico lacasaToday I tried out the technology of using my Verizon Wireless cell phone while roaming at sea. Of course the charge was a rediculous $2.49 per minute charged to all users regardless of service provider, but it was worth it. Today is my best friend's birthday and I wasn't going to let being in the middle of the Pacific Ocean hinder wishing her a happy birthday. Strangely enough though I could hear her just fine, but she couldn't often ...
Los Cabos, Mexico tlbuster... Mango deck food was ok, is more like a bar than a rest I will say but we stay there b/c we just arrived to cabo and we were tired and hungry. Sat breakfast we had it for free at the PB Sunset Beach (Part of the time share presentation deal), small buffet, it was good, then lunch we ate some pizzas at the Sky pool of the PB Sunset beach they were ok, but the nice thing is that they made me a special drink that I wanted to try for a long time (whisky ...
Los Cabos, Mexico joseluis7405The word being spoken the most today is Paul. THE hurricane. Even the Captain has mentioned him at least 5 times. And never in a positive way. Paul is a "schedule" breaker. Because of him, we (and the Captain)do not have a clue which way we will sail. Maybe back north, or stay around this area on Paul's fringes, or can we out run Paul - with our injured engine - south? Only 5 days left to vaction.
