... my body clock, and that the sun was still relatively high in the sky was confusing. Not to mention that I've lost my sense of direction. It feels like we're heading east, but in actual fact it's South West. I've discovered plane flights do that to my sense of direction. Annoyingly. Time to download a map I think!

... be harvested while frozen. Toronto itself seemed a lovely city but we weren't there long enough to get a real feel for it. Again there were some spectacular buildings and some historical ones.
We are now on a ferry to Prince Edward Island. We got to the ferry with a minute to spare, saving us a 2hour wait to the next one.

... the bridge to the States after so we can say we are technically in 'both' countries. We didn't have our passports on us so didn't bother entering the States and just walked back. Little did we realise it was an international crossing and we couldn't get back in to Canada! We were summoned, questioned but luckily our driving licences were on us and we are back on Canadian ground. ...

Lakeside

Toronto is a lakeside city, but it's not the easiest to find or see the actual lake. Between downtown and the lakeside itself there is a huge highway to negotiate and it's one of the few things not connected to the underground labyrinth underneath the main city.
We finally made it down to the lakeside on our fourth day in the city and we're pleased we did.
