... a bit crazy to think you're then in a completely different country. We were on a small plane flown by Porter Airways, and actually flew into the little downtown airport of Toronto. The cool thing about the little downtown airport of Toronto is that it's actually located on a little island, and so after you land you need to grab your luggage, go through customs and then take the 30 second ferry ride to the mainland.

... at Australian customs. Unfortunately for Kirk, Australia has a restriction of 50 grams of cigarettes allowed per person. As a result Kirk was forced to surrender more than half of the 2 cartons he had purchased at the Duty Free shop in Toronto (see Kirk Facebook page for his full rant on this subject).
But after 3 flights, over 28 hours, 1 weather delay, a malfunctioning deplaning ramp and the great cigarette confiscation we finally arrived in Sydney!
