        ... twice, but it was impressive none the less. Much was underground by gas light. Thee caves were actually quarry caves where the limestone was removed by farmers and used in local buildings and also the Church domes. This tour was also by gas light and our guide left us in the darkness for a few moments just to experience true darkness. Although we only walked for 1 hour in the cave system it's ...

        ... away (which, of course, we had to visit) also offered moules. Turns out this airfield (Kiewit) opened in 1907 and initiated the first aerial activity in Belgium. More importantly now, it provided the best coffee (and certainly beer) of any airfield cafe I have visited. The coffee included biscuits and a mini-mars bar!         There is often a fine line between success and failure in sport at World Championship level. Adam decided to go for gold rather than settle for a safe second in the final of the 25-29 Men's Cruiser class at the BMX World championships today.
        He came off second best against a Dutchman who was probably carrying 20 kgs more muscle and bulk with the inevitable result.

        With the number of World ranked riders who did not make finals, Adam's fourth place in the men's 25-29 year class for 20 inch bikes was a result he was happy with on his first of two days of competition at Zolder.

        We didn't do alot today, apart from supermarket shopping, two loads of washing and watching Adam practice for the World BMX Champs which start on Wednesday for him.
        I went to the track to sus out things for Wednesday's competition in the main 20 inch class - the real little bikes which grown men look slightly ridiculous on to the uninitiated.
        In 100 minutes he got five laps of the track to add to the six he did on Sunday. There ...
