Philippines - Rice Terraces in North Luzon

A travel blog entry by suzvarey on Jun 01, 2013

... transport. The first leg was fine as I jumped in a jeepeney and headed towards the main gate of the airport where the driver told me I would have to get another jeepeney to take me to the actual terminal. All good so far and the first trip had only cost me 11p. The next part proved to be a lot more difficult though. When I arrived at the jeepeney station and eventually found the right stand, I was offered a private jeepeney for 250 pesos and it would leave ...

When we arrived at the pier, again, people ambushing us asking which ferry we wanted to take and where we were going, ugh, they just wouldn't leave us alone. And it didn't stop there. ... supplies and assumed our seats. While the local short ***** got the leg room seats in front, I was left with my shins literally wedged by the head rest of the seat in front much to everyone's amusement. Still it was only for a couple of hours. Well if you looked at the map it appeared so... The woman in front revealed it was actually between 7-8 hours! Not what you want to hear when you've barely slept a wink. Turns out the roads are like Laos and ...

... minor success at sleeping a bit more before our 7am breakfast stop at Jollibee in San Jose. We had sausage and egg on pandesal with a substituted burger bun since they were "out of stock" on the pandesal. There was about 1/3 cup of mayonnaise in a lump under the bun which we quickly scraped off before the sight of it made us nauseas. We proceeded on our trip into the higher elevations where we stopped at the famous rest stop ...
