... as we bought some cream in town whilst the local ladyboys loitered outside the local 7/11. This evening we had the best meal at a local Thai restaurant ( the gallery) ran by an English or Australian (Harriet thinks he is Australian) man with a Thai wife. The food was amazing and was all fresh. Particularly home made m&m ice cream and deep fried banana and honey mmmmm. Now the time is 12.22 and time for sleep as we have a snorkelling trip around ko Tao tommorow at ...

After being taken in by all the hype surrounding the Full Moon Party, we arrived in Koh Phangan just in time for the "jungle experience" pre-party! Armed with some white spirit and war paint, we met up with our Norwegian buddies and screaming "pardy, pardy, pardy, pardy, pardy" with the tuk tuk driver, we head into the jungle! We avoided the sea at all costs, because it turns into a froth of man pee, and laughed at the na´ve people dunking in to the 80% urine, 20% sea. After so many thoughts of what a full moon party would be like, and reading so many warnings about ...

... some of the best snorkeling, and we gave it a go but compared to what we had seen yesterday, it was nothing! And way overcrowded with people learning to dive and children and other snorkellers. So the next day we rented a motorbike and soared round the treacherous mountainous roads, to find a quieter bay to relax on. We snorkeller there too and I'm so glad we did as it was remarkable! So many new fish and in such abundance. We swam round ...

... with depth.Beside diving, we found out that this island has rock climbing crags. It was about 3kms away from our place so decided to walk up to it. What we didn't know is that the road was very steep and with the blazing sun, the way up wasn't as enjoyable as expected. The rock climbing was nice even though it took us forever to find the rocks but we were rewarded with awesome views of both sides of the island and a gorgeous sunset. We also rented a kayak with the ambitious ...
