In Paris we reconnected with friends who had packed up and moved halfway around the world, almost as if to prove to themselves that they could do it. I think that's what this was for us. It was far from permanent--though we all wish holidays could last forever--but the nervous trepidation of a long journey away from home cannot be discounted. Nana, Grandad, Baba and Gido all met us at the airport. We had all missed them and I know they had missed us a lot too. We all stopped for lunch at Boston Pizza on the way home. Back at our house, we made it to about 7pm before turning in for the night.
