Koreasta on nyt selvitty takaisin Pariisiin ainakin pieneksi toviksi. Huomenna olisi tarkoitus lähteä lepuuttamaan hermoja Suomeen. Johan tässä ehdittiin yhdessä päivässä saada tarpeekseen mm. siitä, että asunnossani oli jo kolmannen kerran kuukauden sisällä vedentulo katki. Yritä siinä sitten pestä pyykkiä tai käydä suihkussa reissun jälkeen. Lisäksi ruokakaupassa oli taas myllätty hyllyt uuteen uskoon, joten peruselintarvikkeiden hakureissu venyi kohtuuttoman pitkäksi. ... people know about the Catacombes in Paris. I had heard about them from Ryan and read a little in my guide book about them and it sounded interesting so off we went. The entrance to this underground ossuary is inconspicuous and unspectacular to say the least. You're greeted by a small plaque that warns people with heart problems, claustrophobia, or those of a "nervous disposition" to beware. Curiosity peaked, we payed our 7 euros and headed in/down. ... exchange.  Our first host was Remy, and here we stood outside his flat not knowing exactly what to expect.   The internet after all is a crazy place and for all we know this guy could be completely psycho!  A crossdressing mass murderer whos only desire was not cultural exchange, but something else, something less...fun.  Maybe he wanted to suffocate us with a loaf of french bread ...

I wandered around my neighbourhood, in and out of shops, assuming I would eventually run into the street I'd been directed to where the bank I was supposed to go to was located. Once I realized I'd gone too far, I asked an employee in one of the shops if he knew where the street was. ... It's not exactly like I'm chasing the Chukchis in Siberia or anything like that. The west coast of Norway, and Iceland, are the greatest temperature anomalies in the world, with the possible exception of Lima, Peru. The temperature there, right at the Arctic Circle, in the dead of winter, is about the same as Flagstaff, Arizona, cold but tolerable, and much much darker. That's what I needed to see. ... by ambulance! Father and Daughter were racing each other down the marble staircase to the exit lobby. Liz trying to be peacemaker claims it was a draw but neither Shannon or Andrew agree on that! We do agree that the somersault into the lap of the security guard was most spectacular. So was the lump on the ankle that came up very rapidly! Before we knew it the Louvre staff had ordered an ambulance and Shannon and Liz were being delivered to Hotel Dieu ...

... and other important sights. We stopped for some ice cream at a world famous ice cream place and sat along the Seine River. Then we went and saw the Cathedral of Notre Dame which is actually on a little island in the middle of the Seine. It was beautiful. Afterwards we headed to the Eiffel Tower which was amazing. We paid to go all the way to the top and I was freaking out about how high it was. There are three different levels ...

Tää ei oo oikeesti totta, miten hienoa laskua ollaan taas saatu. Lunta vaan on ja puuteri pöllyää. Viikonloppuna hissit oli kiinni, joten viikonlopputuristit ei päässy viemään meijän lumia ja maanantaina paratiisi aukesi taas. Oltiin ensimmäisten joukossa aamulla jonossa, tosin paikalliset tietty ohitti meijät mutta oltiin silti toisessa kabiinissa ja perusreitiltä löytyi meille kolmelle hienoa omaa jälkeä paksussa pehmeässä puuterissa.
