... fate of all photographers of not being the only one there to take THE shot of the falls. There were many experts including tripods and humungous lenses and they will get in the way. One guy in particular in a bright red top stuck himself halfway up the falls complete with tripod and managed to foul up everyone's shot. Undaunted, we scaled higher and "shot" photos around him.

That beats paying $3 at every stop just to take some pictures or do a short hike. We started using that pass right away by stopping at the Glen Ellis waterfall trail down the road. It was steep but relatively short and well worth every step. I love a good waterfall.

What did this mean for us? This meant we were waiting for like at least 2 hours before getting on the climb and it meant a slow go because there were 3 other groups ahead of us.
