... t heard what he had said! Anyway, soon it was my turn to feel the plate in his neck. Admittedly, I let my guard down, because I thought this was just the build up. It wasn't, this was the punchline. As I went to touch the plate on his neck, he was reiterating the story about being bitten by the dog and as I touched his neck, he barked really loudly and feigned to bite my hand off. ... crowded we are kind of unmotivated to go..but on closer inspection, the crowd in 90% local people enjoying their beach on a Sunday, making it suddenly much more attractive! Women are bathing with their clothes on, grandparents are watching the little ones on the beach...very entertaining to watch. Unawatuna is in a little bay, which makes swimming in the sea no problem. Lots of little fishermen's boats on the beach...it is actually really authentic! The Kingfisher, where we are staying, ...

... been the going rate, but the next one said 300 so we just took him. got into marissa and wandered around and then poked through a motels walkway to the beach and found heaps of little seafood restaurants, chose one and had an amazing dinner of fresh fish and chips and salad. who puts pineapple in salad,, blerkkkkkk. got kindof lost on our way back but finally found the main road grabbed a tuktuk and back to our house.
