Set the alarm quite early to get out of the grotty room quick and spend a last bit of time on the beach before breakfast and taxi to Colombo airport. Flight to Delhi was a little bumpy and lis had to take some tablets and neck some wine quick! It was 17 degrees with mist and felt freezing to us. ... and a decent mosquito net - and the owner was like a Sri Lankan Mr.Bean in his sarong with his belly/hips always angled slightly fowards. He was funny :)

We found a place to eat on the seafront which didn't serve curry, so I got a good fix of more western food (and drink!). ... to the whole crew (most people had headed the rumour of a delay so it was not too much of a shock) he explained how there was a cyclone between us and Malaysia right in our path, he had been studying it and had decided that the best thing to do was to go around it south to the equator! And there was another one brewing in the Southern Hemisphere but they don't like the equator and we could sail between them - that's the plan, but giving it a days head ...
