... 8.5 knot proportion, heeling right over, bouncing over the waves, tearing across the north Ionian sea like a madboat. Fan-tas-tic! We reached our evening berth, Lakka, back on Paxos, at about 5pm. Lakka is a really lovely little town - would really recommend this (and Paxos) as a holiday destination. It is a sheltered bay on the north of Paxos with adorable shops and tavernas and is one of the prettiest places we have visited. On our penultimate day we travelled 26.7 nautical ...

the old city there was a main road that reminded me of Brunswick, back in the
sixties. Unassuming little shops, magnificent plaques (that we couldn’t read)
and more coffee houses than we have in Melbourne.

When in Corfu, do as the corfuans do – sit in a sidewalk
coffee and watch the people walk by.
We had two ice coffees each and tried to decide which way will lead us back to the bus.

... pushing time waiting for the dryer before our flight. This meant it turned into a mad race to the airport and running around with our packs on. Sweaty work but we managed to get to the plane just as it was boarding. You would think we would learn from our previous mistakes but we yet again arrived with no accomodation.. So spent a few hours at the airport asking people to call anyone they knew that might have a cheap room and using the wifi. Corfu is quite a large island so ...

... if it is the economy, still they could have a little pride. Anyway after our train ride - which was rather disappointing as we couldn't hear the commentary and the sights were dull, we went shopping and had a great time. Split up from the others and managed to find lots of goodies for you lot at home. 3pm we returned to the ship and went up for a late lunch. Gathered up Kev's book and my kobo and found a couple ...
