We got up and walked the beach by our camp ground for a little way before packing up to head to Venice once again. Kay and Alan Brake were going to be in Venice and we were so close it was crazy to miss them so we told them which camp site we'd be in and they drove from Zurich in Switzerland to Venice during the day and there were no cabins left so they slept in the Beast with us in the bunks. Spent the day yesterday arriving and self touring Venice. Lots of walking and my shoes were not good. Took a gondola ride it was gorgeous. Paola drove us to Dolo station. She was a very nice host, we will write her a good review. We transferred trains in Milan. We had a hour to kill there so worked perfectly for a lunch break. From Milan to Brig we sat with two guys, one from Maine, USA and the other from Melbourne, Australia. It was nice to talk to other English people. Essentially it is a little hole in the wall shop front that you order and get takeaway pasta in large noodle boxes.
