      ... part of the island where we stayed, checked many different offers for boat tours and Yana bargained in Portuguese some good deals. The next day, we got on a boat to Lopes Mendes beach on the other side on the island from Abrao. The beach had very beautiful scenery, turquoise water and the finest white sand. And despite a lot of sunscreen, I managed to get a bit of sunburn as usual ...

      ... all prepared for it. We therefore caught a boat taxi from the next beach back to our little town.

      The following morning we had our last breakfast at our little hostel and checked out early in order to catch the ferry back to the mainland and continue our journey to Paraty. We did this with Helen and Jodie, who as it turned out were travelling the exact same journey as us for the next week or two - nice to have their company :).
