... started coming in however it seemed there was a storm brewing! Not long after we got back to our Pousada (guest house) the power on the whole island went out! We changed and headed back out to find some dinner (torch in hand), we found a restaurant on the beach just as the heavens opened, met another couple from London and literally sat out the storm with Caipirinha's, good food and conversation!

The next morning, after our first hostel swap, we headed off into the jungle in hope of finding Lopes Mendez, the seventh most beautiful beach in the world. Today we hiked from the main bay of Ilia Grande round to Lopez Mendez beach on the other side of the island. The hike took us about 3 hours and went via 3 other amazing beaches on the way, as well as high up through the jungle to some amazing viewpoints.
