    ... known victory from a latrine attack. Not sure if the story is true, but it is funny. We had a funny guide. She was also an artist who did sketches.     ... from the coast, this area is right by the Route du Cidre - lovely scenery driving through orchards, farmhouses, green pastures filled with cows, and picturesque villages.     ... and poignant American Memorial Cemetery with 9000 white crosses set in a huge and beautiful garden right on Omaha Beach. We were feeling drained by this stage and still hadn 't reached the British section! We stopped at the town of Arromanches-les-Bains which is near the start of 'Gold' beach and had a coffee.
