Free parking again
As the weather was milder than expected we grabbed the opportunity to do another free park; this time with about 10 others at a designsted stop 9 kilometers north of Glen Innes. The local Rotary Club has erected a Stonehenge looking thing at entrance. I had fun with the caption. I took the opportunity to grab another tank full of fuel from the Glen Innes United. $1.39.9!! ... Man glaubt es kam, aber die letzten Tage hatten wir ca. 20-25 Grad und seit gestern (11.10) habe ich erstmal Regen gesehen und man glaubt es kaum aber am 12.10 hat es ca. 15-20 cm geschneit, ca. 4 Grad und es schneit noch. Es liegt auch daran, dass wir hier ca. 1330 m hoch über den Meeresspiegel liegen. Schaut euch das Foto an, mich in Short, Bikini in der Hand und Schnee!!
So nun sind wieder ein paar aufregende Wochen vergangen bei ...

... the main street on a Saturday afternoon, was just about deserted except for a few people in a couple of bars - images of the wild west come to mind. Apparently, we are told, the further inland you go from here the terrain gradually changes and eventually all you can see for as far as you can see are huge expanses of desert plains - think we will give that a miss, but we will stay inland and head south tomorrow. We had planned to stay for a couple of days and have a ride round on our bikes, but like Scotland the weather was cold and wet, so we huddled up for the night and then drove to all the sights in the morning.

The Glen Innes Library was a modern, comfortable spot to make use of free internet, catch up on emails and make phone calls.National Parks are wonderful place to stay but there is no access to communication.Oh waht a shame-NOT!
