... battle that occurred here really helped me to understand what happened here, and what life was like back then so it was really good to finally see it. The battle at the Alamo which has made this site famous with the likes of Davy Crockett being there, also occurred on my birthday funnily enough. So that was kind of cool to have a personal association to that day and knowing these people died on my happy day.
