We left Tuesday morning at 7:00am for observations in the Swiss pre-K through 8th grade school in Bern.  Our host family attends this school and Anja, the mother, teachers at this school. All I could think was that if the slug was on the inside of the tent, I was going to freak out. Fortunately, it was on the outside. I flicked it off, but it only returned with friends, so I spent the night in the company of many slugs. ...

... Besancon. On the way we changed direction slightly and aimed for Ornans. I was reading one of the newspaper articles I cut and keep and this town got a good mention. It was a beautiful drive over small roads through the greenest farming country with flowering trees everywhere.
Tomorrow we check out the town.
