... and their historical society has done a wonderful job of marking sites, but I find it loud and busy for a small town. The park area we are in however is very peaceful.... all we here are ducks and blue jays. We will move on to Lock # 5 in a day or so where we are told we can dock overnight in a pretty park, and then on to Mechanicville at Lock #3. ...

... high cement wall- Marty put our little bench out so I can get on and off the boat. I am amazed by the architecture here.... so many wonderful old buildings with elaborate wood carvings. ... out very differently....as ir had once before. We then drove up to get Otto's van, back down to load his and Milo's boats, and then off for a dinner in town. After dinner, Otto headed to Stewart's for ice cream for Milo - but got lost - while I went to Stewart's for gas and ended up meeting them there. I only got gas.

It was a lovely way for the last paddling excursion of the season - sadly only my second!

He went all or nothing, sacrificing himself in order to knock me swiftly over the side of the raft into the water. Next thing I know, we are bobbing down the Hudson. And guess what? I no longer have my sunglasses on my face!! As much as I wanted to blame Alex, I had struck first. Ugh, I will not return to that hardware store a 3rd time. The rest of the trip was great, lunch was provided, and they even threw in ...
