... Crown Point and stopped overnight at Fort Ticonderoga. The winds were supposed to be from the south and then west, so we anchored above the Fort area to be protected. There was no wind at all in the end, we should have gone to the south anchorage.... as we passed it by the next day we saw it had a much better view. It was a very quiet sleep after the ferry stopped, and after the gazillion birds finished their convention in the trees nearby. ...
... out very differently....as ir had once before. We then drove up to get Otto's van, back down to load his and Milo's boats, and then off for a dinner in town. After dinner, Otto headed to Stewart's for ice cream for Milo - but got lost - while I went to Stewart's for gas and ended up meeting them there. I only got gas.
It was a lovely way for the last paddling excursion of the season - sadly only my second!
