... to the camping to watch some "Vikings". 1st Today we were going to visit Bourdeaux. Really well organized here to keep cars out of town. We were send to a closed parking at the outskirts where we payed 4.50€ for the whole day plus we got two return tickets with the tram into the centre of town, perfect no ? Wish they'd be so clever in our towns !! Anyway we got off at a point near the river where we could walk back via ...

Our plans were to take Penny's car on Friday and drive about 7 hours to Antibes but we decided to take a plane from Bordeaux to Marsailes and rent a car to Antibes and save some driving time. After much frustration with the Ryan air website we eventually got booked ...

If any of you have never been to Bordeaux, then I really recommend it as a place to come and explore. Had a wonderful afternoon out and about on the bikes.

It was interesting to see sight of the Garonne River, as this forms the backdrop of the next stage of our trip. The plan is to get the train to Sete, on the Med and then cycle back ...
