... to stop and get my boots off and flip flops on before continuing onto Valenca for the night.

The place was gorgeous. An old stone house, beautiful courtyard, vineyard, etc. I ordered a sandwich, and was enjoying the perfect day.

A very friendly Canadian woman came down the stairs from another building, and was very friendly. Came to find out this was her place. The real story is that she did the Camino in 2008 with a childhood friend she hadn't seen for years. ...

Sadly we left Combarro and headed south for the next Ria. There was little bit of wind so we got a pretty decent sail in.

We anchored in one of the first bays, it was quite crowded actually. Being a weekend the beach was full of people - mostly naked people we discovered after settling in. Not because of the sights but due to the swell we reanchored closer to the headland where we hoped there would be less rolling about.

... either reopen or it's supper time.
We happened upon the market as the stalls were clearing up for the day. Bought some shell fish and having spent a little bit of money at this one stall, the owner threw in some local crabs for nothing.

When we got back we ventured in Combarro and enjoyed the local wine in some delightful little bars. This is the life!

This village is just....

... ended up anchoring off Combarro and this anchorage was half stunning and half industrial with the paper mill on one side heard and seen in the background.

The following day we took the dinghy and ventured into the village and boy what a village this is. The old town is just gorgeous with it's grain stores, farm/ plots, hidden chapels and unusual architecture. we just love it!!!!

... the train to Santiago. What an amazing place.... so atmospheric and you could feel the spiritualism - there were loads of groups/clubs/whatever on their pilgrimages and the place was just buzzing - maybe because we were there before the siesta hours!!!!

When we got back after a very enjoyable day we moved on to another anchorage (which is another entry).
