We have been having a very nice time in Spain since we have arrived and we've been all over the place! On Saturday we went exploring to Guadalest which was a very nice town up in the hills. The drive went through the mountains which is mostly farmland with lots of orange and lemon tress, and artichoke plants. There was a nice view off into the distance of the mar menor. (actually we had a tiny, weeny Christmas tree too, but we had to wait for it to grow - it was a 'magic' grow tree - approx 4" high).

I had found out that the 'Place To Be' on Christmas morning was, the ...

Then the reward, we were off to the 'Captain's Table' for a full on English Breakfast, Egg, bacon, 2 x sausages, beans, tomato, hash brown, toast and butter. yummy. with pot of tea. 4.30 euro - approx 3 - not bad. (I like to mention prices - so I can look back in my dotage and see how cheap things were). I will be making this Sunday walk - a ritual with the boys, (they are Diamond Geezers). ...
