Friday 6/3 - We hired a car today off Hertz and headed to Miami. We got a brand new Honda Civic with 60 miles on the clock. We had ordered a GPS when booking the car but they had forgotten about that and had none charged and ready to go.They eventially got one going but it kept dying on us even though it was plugged into the power source in the car so it wasn't long before we were thouroughly lost. ... Miami day - we spent the morning relaxing and reading and doing everything sloooowly before heading to the local Cuban cafe for lunch. Cuban influences are everywhere in Miami which is not surprising as it is closer to Cuba than it is to the rest of mainland America and there has been generations of Cubans who have immigrated into Miami and southern Florida.

Lastly we went out to Everglades and had an airboat ride. It was fun, and we saw a couple of very small alligators. A guy gave an alligator show afterwards, and he was hilarious - he had a really funny voice.
Back after a long day, and we walked down Lincoln Road for an Italian dinner before going back to the hotel to pack.
We arrived at the Miccosukee Resort & Gaming Casino without a problem. We went into the casino and spent 6.00 on slots that was enough for us. Back to the bounder and a beautiful sunset over the everglades. Off to Boyds Campground in KEY WEST for the rest of the week. We will check in again tomorrow night
