This morning we said goodbye to our beautiful Castle hideaway & hit the Autostrada. First stop was Vicolungo The Style Outlet Shopping Mall to spend the last of those pesky Euro's! Then we thought we would just have a drive around the villages in Lombardy around the lake Lago Maggiore. It was just beautiful. Especially the village if Angera. I could ...

Stayed there only for one hour and we spent that time in Parco Civico capturing the flickering lights of the city surrounded by mountains. The view from the shores of Lake Lugano was fascinating. It's truly a must-visit city and I'd love to go back and see it in broad daylight. ...

After a few days by the sea it was time to head North toward Lago Maggiore and the Swiss border. I had stayed at Lake Maggiore when I was a kid and it was something I remembered as a quiet and beautiful place. Of course things change but I wanted to see if I could make it up there and stay the night.

I found the SP258 road running North from Albenga to Garessio, from there I'd hit the SS28 to Ceva. From there ...
