Today was a traveling day. We left Saas Grund and headed
East via Italy to Locarno. The drive took us through some amazing mountain
passes including Simplonpass, the Gondoschlucht, Val Divedro and Val Vigezzo
which is also known as the Vally of a Thousand Valleys. The scenery ...

A visit to Milano to have the motorhome alarm fixed. We stayed at this campsite last September so know it well, a lovely campsite on the waterside. Weather not as good here so we think we will about turn and will head back down towards Genova and continue on our travels down the West Side of Italy... Hopefully starting in Pisa. Lots to see and ...

... I is literally paved with luxury hotels, although ours, the Grand Hotel des Isles Borromees, may well be the grandest. This year the hotel celebrates its 150th birthday and there is an entire room devoted to old pictures of the lake, the hotel and the rich and famous that have stayed here. The poster-guest is, of course, Ernest Hemingway who stayed at the hotel when he was recuperating from injuries sustained during WWI, used it as ...

Lost six hours today in the time difference from New York to Milan but will gain one back when we get to London tomorrow. We had very little sleep on the plane and it was raining when we got here at 1pm local time so we took it easy. Had a nice Italian meal in the hotel restaurant ...
