Charming, well-appointed hotel set in former home of famous Peruvian archaeologist Julio C Tello. Original murals on walls and fabulous location 5 mins from Larcomar shopping centre. Walking distance to shops and markets in Miraflores. 24 hour reception, safe location, wonderful beds, pillows, patios, breakfast included. Served us 4:30 am breakfast to accommodate our early flight.

Next place we went is the Park of Love. We saw a lot of beautiful artworks made with mosaic; those artworks were donated by people of Peru. The spot was considered to be the ...

    ... welcome and loved!

Shortly after that I left Lima for about 9 days to travel around the country. (See next entry for the details of that trip!)

When I was set to return to Lima I knew I would go right back to the Dragonfly. Even though their bathrooms were not the cleanest (and that's a generous description because some of the staff will be reading this, lol) I knew I would ...

... downtown we opted for a cab. It ended up being 15 soles which is about $5! And it was so much shorter, cooler and far more comfortable. We came and showered and got ready for our night tour. We went for another bite to eat and some Starbucks! Yes!! Then we waited for the tour. The main plaza and park in Miraflores has free wifi so that been nice! We can SIT (!) in the park and still be online. The night tour was good. We drove towards old town, stopping about half way to ...

... noticeable train system, no subway system and everyone trying to get around at one time. Bus after bus with people packed like sardines. What a commute!
The airport was no better, it's about the size of Flint and no organization. However we all made our flight and looked forward to flying above the Andes. It was spectacular as it was a clear day and the snowy peaks came through the clouds. The ...
