2/8-2/9- Nicoya Peninsula

... br> sandwich... refried beans, cheese, and tomato on bread…strange but not too bad.
I still miss peanut butter.

By midafternoon
we had had our share of sun and sea and packed up, we had a long drive a head
still. We headed back to the apartment to clean up and pack up. As we packed
the landlord came out to offer us the kitten for free, she said she did not
want a female cat because she did not ...

Samara, Tambor, Manuel Antonio, Tortuguero

... more. We also saw a cayman (crocodile) sleeping on the reeds and our driver pulled the boat up right next to it.
After this we went to see the nests from last night in the daylight. The turtle tracks leading to the sea looked like tractor tyre marks. On the way back we saw an eyelash viper (poisonous snake) wrapped around a low branch of a bush. It was waiting patiently for one of the three lizards nearby to get close enough. Day 7- Well rocking up back to my apartment at dawn the next day and the extremely exhausting week I've had totally permitted me to get up at 17:13pm today. Except for the time I woke up, dying from alcohol poisoning, so hot I thought I would die and completely unable to make the air con work. To be fair ...

Day Seven

A travel blog entry by lcorchon

We are up early as usual but today we travel to Playa Samara which is about three hours from San Ramon. With hugs and kisses to abuela we were on our way. As I've mentioned before the roads here leave a lot to be desired – they are full of pot holes and cracks. There are multiple repair areas which just add to the roughness of the ride. But no complaints – we are in Costa Rica and are learning to be patient and accept that’s the way it is.
