While a part of me wishes I had ample amounts of savings, a bigger part of me doesn’t regret it one bit. I have seen and experienced the world, met new people that taught me a thing or two about life and I appreciate the world we live in ten times more than I did.

... 10.30pm and midnight was a bit of a slog, but we managed not to fall asleep.

The main event was spectacular – a 13-minute display with fireworks coming off of the Bridge, off of the Opera House, and off of about 5 different barges dotted along the river. It was definitely worth all the waiting, especially because we had such a good position. Apparently the organisers feel real pressure to put on a better show every year because they ...

... is fantastic. The bus we took went to the centre, via Bondi Beach. It is amazing how this bus winds through an estate of very nice houses, where you wouldn't expect to see bus stops. It arrived at Bondi Beach, very crowded, so we stayed on the bus. Just before the center of town we saw a park so got off to take a look, first we went to a lovely garden café, most the cafés etc are very high quality. Sylvia ordered coconut and mango bread, which came toasted, it ...
