    While Cambodian beaches weren't on our original list of places to visit, we talked to so many people who enjoyed their time there that we decided to check it out. Based on input and online research we decided to go to Otres Beach. This was deemed the least 'party' atmosphere, while still having good guesthouses and restaurants.     ... they aren't even driving fast when it happens (10-30kms/hr. I shake my head.....

    I knew there were a few scams that Id run into at the border crossing; everyone wants a little piece of you and it riles me up. as I sat at the Vietnam side of the crossing for about half an hour and watched the guards select certain people to go and pay a 'fee' at the window. I watched everything carefully and there was definitely no logic to who was selected. no paperwork ...

    Not a lot happened today. Ill be honest. Bit of a dud day. Everyone arose late and at different times depending on how severe the hangover was, I managed quite well and was only suffering with a major dry mouth and no water. I was so thirsty i had dreams about people giving me water, so an early morning trip to the shop was in need.     ... s, deck chair, beach umbrella......and no one chases you away because you only paid $5 to be there. It is just a very pleasant and relaxed place to be and you feel welcome to be sharing in Paradise with everyone there.

    Tourism is relatively new to this island and the only evidence of this is the new beach bungalows that are being built along the beach. But the service of the staff is of a super high standard, and presentation is impeccable.

    ... hardly any tourists, and the ones who were there weren't douche bags!!! The electricity only runs from about 5pm- 2am which was fine, so we spent the afternoon on the main beach and went to bed early.
