After showering and settling into our hotel in Mestre, we caught the # 12 bus into Venice. ... scenery that we have ever seen. There was still a lot of snow on the peaks. It took us most of the day to get through the mountains. We arrived at the Venice Airport at about 3 o'clock. Dennis dropped us off at the boat dock and then returned the car. He had to walk back from the car return which was about 1.5 miles. We got our motorboat and came to the Foscari Palace. We will be here for two more glorious days!!! Hurrah!!!
